1/24/09: *Wind Chill Advisory*

*Wind Chill Advisory* is in effect for all of Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin through 12 PM CST Monday.

Arctic air will remain over the area through Monday. Nighttime low temperatures will range from 10 below to 30 below with daytime highs Sunday and Monday ranging from around 5 below to 10 above. The coldest temperatures will likely occur around and to the west and north of the Iron Range in Minnesota and over interior portions of Northwest Wisconsin.

Wind speeds of 10 to 20 mph will be common around the area through Monday with higher gusts possible from time to time.

Wind chills will lower to between 25 below to as low as 45 below zero between the hours of 8 PM and 9 AM, with wind chills of 10 below to 25 below zero expected between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM.

Exposed skin could freeze within 10 to 15 minutes when wind chills reach 30 below. Take proper precautions if you plan on being outside for any period of time while this advisory is in effect.
