*Winter Storm Warning* is in effect until Midnight CST Tonight for a portion of the North Shore of Lake Superior in Northeast Minnesota.

Knife River… Larsmont… Two Harbors… Castle Danger… Beaver Bay… Silver Bay… Little Marais… Finland… Taconite Harbor… Tofte… Lutsen… Hovland… Grand Marais… And Grand Portage…

Lake effect snow has accumulated 4 to 7 inches early This Morning around the cities of Little Marais, Finland, Lutsen, and Tofte… A favorable pattern for lake effect snow will persist along the North Shore of Lake Superior through late This Evening with total accumulations of 5 to 12 inches possible in some locations by late Tonight.

Snowfall rates of one inch or more per hour can be expected in the heaviest snow showers through This Evening with visibilities at times dropping to under a mile.

Highway 61 along the North Shore of Lake Superior will likely be snow covered and slippery with very poor if not dangerous driving conditions expected through Tonight.

*Lake Effect Snow Advisory* is in effect until 6 AM CST for a portion of Northwest Wisconsin.

2 to 5 inches of snow is expected in the advisory area by Tuesday Morning. Snowfall rates could approach one inch an hour in the heaviest snow showers with visibilities lowering to around a mile at times.

Highway 2, highway 53, and Highway 13 in Northwest Wisconsin will likely become snow covered and slippery in spots through Tuesday Morning.
