Today’s Weather Summary for Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin
A very nice day with comfortably cool temperatures in the 50s to lower 60s. Most of the area did see quite a bit of sunshine by the Afternoon with the exception being the Eastern portion of NW Wisconsin where a mix of clouds/sun continued. Winds Today were out of the north or northwest at 10 to around 20 mph.

Tonight (September 21)
High pressure will remain over the Upper Midwest Tonight resulting in mostly clear skies and cool temperatures. Lows will be in the 30s to lower 40s with a few 20s likely as well. Frost and freezing temperatures are expected Overnight over a large portion of the Northland. Winds will be out of the north, west, or east at 5 to 15 mph.
Sunday and Sunday Night (September 22)
High pressure moves off to our east, but dry weather continues. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s with lows in the 40s to lower 50s. South or east winds can be expected at 10 to 15 mph.

Monday through Wednesday (September 23-25)
A few showers are possible on Tuesday as a weakening system moves through the Upper Midwest, otherwise this period is looking dry. High temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s with lows Monday Night and Tuesday Night in the 40s and 50s.

An upper level trough and area of low pressure along with a warm front and cold front could impact the Northland’s weather sometime between the 26th-28th, this system could bring some rain to the area with the greatest chance coming Friday into Saturday the way it looks now, but timing could certainly change in coming days. Near to above average temperatures are forecast through this period.
