Today’s Weather Summary for Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin
High pressure of 1020mb was centered just north of Lake Superior with low pressure of 997mb over far Western North Dakota with a warm front connected to this low trailing SE into Southwestern Minnesota. A brisk onshore wind developed Today near Lake Superior keeping temperatures in the 50s. Elsewhere it was a pleasant last day of summer/1st day of fall with highs in the 60s to around 70 degrees. Lots of sunshine in the area Today with the exception to this being in far Northeast Minnesota due to an area of low clouds that moved off Lake Superior. Winds Today were out of the south or east at 10 to around 20 mph with higher gusts near Lake Superior.

Tonight (September 22)
Clear to partly cloudy skies will continue Tonight with lows in the 40s with some 30s possible in southeast parts of Northwest Wisconsin, or around the Park Falls, Phillips, Ogema areas. South or east winds are expected at 5 to 15 mph with higher gusts near Lake Superior.
Monday and Monday Night (September 23)
Looks dry this period with partly cloudy skies. A warm front will be moving through the Northland, but no precipitation will accompany this front. Highs Tomorrow will be in the 60s and 70s but it will be cooler along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Lows Tomorrow Night will be in the 40s to lower 50s. Winds will be out of the south or east at 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday through Thursday (September 24-26)
A weakening area of low pressure is forecast to move into the Upper Midwest on Tuesday, this system might be able to generate a few showers in the Northland on Tuesday, but coverage should be limited. Dry weather returns Wednesday into Thursday. High temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s from Tuesday through Thursday with lows Tuesday Night and Wednesday Night in the 40s and 50s.
