-Here’s my preliminary snowfall accumulation forecast for Tuesday PM through Wednesday AM.
Light blue=Snow totals generally around 1″
Darker blue=Snow totals ranging from 2-5″
12z model data still supports an area of accumulating snow beginning Tuesday Afternoon/Evening, continuing through the Overnight hours before ending Wednesday Morning. Note: It still looks like the snow will miss Duluth and Superior as the storm track is too far to our southeast to give us any snow.
Eastern Minnesota, but more so the Southern/Eastern portion of Northwest Wisconsin has the best chance to pick up accumulating snow with this system based on the latest model data.
-Storm track forecast. Low pressure is forecast to be over Southern Wisconsin Wednesday Morning and by Wednesday Evening it’s expected to reach the Northern shores of Lake Huron. This track is just too far southeast to give the Twin Ports any snow. (Source, Weather Prediction Center)
