High pressure of 1028mb covered the Central/Eastern Great Lakes and Ohio Valley late This Afternoon with low pressure of 998mb over Eastern Saskatchewan. A southerly return flow has developed across the area Today in between these 2 features. Skies ranged from partly to mostly sunny Today with highs ranging from mid 20s to low 30s along the North Shore, Arrowhead, and Iron Range to the mid 30s to low 40s elsewhere. Winds were out of the south or east at 10 to 20 mph.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected with lows mainly in the 30s. Southerly winds are forecast at 10 to 20 mph with a few higher gusts.
Wednesday and Wednesday Night (November 20)
Low pressure will be centered to our north while a cold front connected to this low heads southeast and through Northern/Eastern Minnesota by Tomorrow Night. Partly to mostly cloudy skies can be expected during this period. Could be a few rain showers Tomorrow in parts of Northwest Wisconsin while rain or mixed showers across Northern Minnesota go over to flurries and snow showers by Tomorrow Night as colder air builds in. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 30s and 40s with lows ranging from the teens and 20s in Northern Minnesota to the 30s in Northwest Wisconsin. Winds will be out of the south or north at 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday through Saturday (November 20-22)
Snow showers or flurries are possible Thursday into Friday Morning mainly over Eastern Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin with 1″ or less of accumulation. A powerful arctic front moves through the area Friday Night with possible snow showers and flurries with that. Saturday looks very cold but mainly dry except along the South Shore of Lake Superior where some lake effect snow showers could occur.
High temperatures on Thursday will range from the teens and 20s in Northern Minnesota to the 30s in Northwest Wisconsin. Lows Thursday Night will be in the teens and 20s with single digits possible over Northern Minnesota. Temperatures on Friday will be in the teens and 20s. Highs Saturday will only be in the single digits and teens with wind chills of 0 to 20 below.

The Northland could be hit by a clipper during the 24th-25th and with that system will come the chance for a light dusting of snow for some of us.
