Cool temperatures continued today under mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies. There’s been a few spotty rain showers affecting the Northland as well today but coverage has been less compared to the past few days. Highs today ranged from the mid 50s to low 60s.
N/NW flow aloft will remain in place through Friday. Another disturbance over Manitoba Province this afternoon will drop into the upper Midwest later tonight-Thursday which will bring some more light rain and showers to northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin through Thursday. Otherwise mostly cloudy skies should continue for the next 24 hours with some breaks in the clouds at times.
Lows tonight in the 40s to lower 50s with highs Thursday in the mid 50s to mid 60s with near 70 degree temperatures possible around the Brainerd Lakes area.
Note: Early Friday morning looks quite chilly with a chance for patchy frost in parts of the Northland for locations inland from Lake Superior.
Friday through Sunday look mainly dry at the moment with high temps gradually warming up this weekend. Highs Friday are forecast to be in the 60s. Highs Saturday ranging from 60 near Lake Superior to the lower 70s over western parts of the Northland. Highs Sunday should mainly be in the 70s except along the North Shore of Lake Superior where a south wind will keep it cooler.
