A two part winter storm the last few days, the first part missed the Northland while hitting much of southern Minnesota on Wednesday.

Weather Synopsis for Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin
Sit ‘n Spin! That sums up today’s low pressure system. Low pressure was near Two Harbors, Minnesota at 4 PM Friday with the upper low covering most of Minnesota. With the low overhead snow, sleet and rain continued across the area today although precipitation intensities weren’t as heavy as what we saw Thursday and Thursday night. A cool mid April day with highs today only in the low to mid 30s, normal highs on April 12th are in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees!
Tonight: Light snow, drizzle or a mix of snow and drizzle will persist over much of the area this evening, but precipitation should end from west to east during the Overnight as low pressure moves northeast of Lake Superior. Mostly cloudy skies tonight with lows ranging from the upper teens to upper 20s with northwest or west winds.
Saturday: A little milder compared to recent days, but still below average temperatures with highs in the mid 30s to low 40s along with breezy northwest winds 10 to 20 mph. Mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies are forecast.
Sunday: Partly to mostly sunny skies. East winds return which will keep it cool near the shores of Lake Superior (highs in the 30s) farther inland highs should make it into the mid 40s to low 50s.
