Could see a little snow or a light wintry mix of precipitation in parts of the Northland late Tuesday night-Wednesday morning, however, computer models differ as to where this band of precip sets up, some have it farther southeast, missing our area, others more to the NW affecting our local area.

High temperature forecast for Tuesday, January 21.

…Weather Summary…

It’ll be another cold night tonight, but not as cold as last night. Lows will be in the single digits below to single digits above zero with teens below in the typical cold spots. Skies will be mainly clear tonight, and winds will be out of the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.

Dry and milder Tuesday with highs in the 20s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

There could be a little snow or possibly some freezing drizzle in eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin on Wednesday as an area of low pressure passes through the upper Midwest. Highs on Wednesday will be in the middle 20s to lower 30s.

Late this week an area of low pressure passes E-NE across the Midwest while a trough extends north into Wisconsin, this system could bring a little snow to parts of the Northland from Thursday into Friday, and there is also a chance for some lake effect snow along the North Shore of Lake Superior due to an easterly wind which may develop on Thursday, lingering into Friday, but temperatures look fairly mild late this week which may limit the amount of lake effect snow that develops. Stay tuned.
