From the National Weather Service…

*Flood Warning* is in effect until 845 AM CDT Friday for the Nemadji River in Northwest Douglas County in Northwest Wisconsin… At 320 PM CDT Thursday the Nemadji River stage was 20.4 feet. Recent snow melt combined with heavy rain on frozen ground has resulted in a rapid increase of runoff into the Nemadji River. Though the river level has been nearly steady for the last 24 hours…Some ice jamming is occurring along the river upstream from County Road C and downstream past the bridge on Woodlawn Road resulting in increased river levels due to backwater affects. Water has been reported over Finn Road south of the Intersection of East County Road C. Water from Crawford Creek was nearing road level on East Hammond Avenue west of County Road A.

*Flood Warning* is in effect until 1245 PM CDT Friday for Southwest Cass County in Northcentral Minnesota. At 11 AM CDT Thursday flooding was reported along the Crow Wing River northwest of Motley Minnesota. Upstream river gages appear to have crested. However high water levels are expected to slowly rise over the next 24 to 36 hours as those crests work down-stream. Expect flooding of low lying areas along the Crow Wing River.

*Flood Warning* remains in effect for the Mississippi River at Aitkin Minnesota and at Fort Ripley Minnesota until further notice or until the warning is cancelled… Counties included are: Crow Wing and Aitkin in Eastcentral Minnesota… At 11 AM CDT Thursday the Mississippi river at Aitkin had risen to 14.5 feet. Flood stage is 12 feet. The river is expected to rise to near 14.6 feet This Evening then begin falling slowly. At 15 feet some flooding occurs in Aitkin. The Mississippi River at Fort Ripley Minnesota had a stage of 10.8 feet as of 1010 AM CDT Thursday… Flood stage is 10 feet. The river is forecast to reach 12.1 feet by Saturday Morning. At 12 feet the boat landing…dock…And parking lot access is affected.

*Flood Advisory* remains in effect for the Floodwood River in Southwest St. Louis County in Northeast Minnesota until 330 PM CDT Friday or until the river recedes. At 930 AM CDT Thursday the stage at the Floodwood River had risen to 15.4 feet as reported by law enforcement. Minor flooding to low lying areas occurs at a river stage of 14 feet. Recent snow melt combined with heavy rain on frozen ground has resulted in an increase runoff into the Floodwood River. At a stage of 17 feet residential property damage is possible. At this time the Floodwood River is expected to remain above 14 feet but not expected to reach 17 feet. Law enforcement reported no significant flooding at this time.
