*Flood Warning valid until 11:00 AM CDT Friday for the following County*

Ashland WI

Some locations that will experience flooding include:

Ashland WI
Butternut WI
Clam Lake WI
Glidden WI
High Bridge WI
Marengo WI
Mellen WI
Morse WI
Odanah WI
Sanborn WI

*State Highway 169 is closed in Ashland County as well as County Highway N and many town roads per Ashland County Highway Department.

*Flood Warning valid until 8:00 AM CDT Saturday for the following Counties*

West Central Burnett WI
Central Pine MN
Southwest Carlton MN


*Some locations that will experience flooding include:


Automba
Denham
Finlayson
Kettle River
Rutledge
Sandstone
Willow River

A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.  If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.  Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.  Do not attempt to cross swiftly flowing flood waters of unknown depth by foot or by automobile.

*Flood Warning valid until 4:30 PM CDT Friday for the following Counties*

Extreme Southwest Lake MN
Southeast St. Louis MN

*Flood Warning*

A flood warning is in effect for the St. Louis River at Scanlon.

*At 9:30 AM Thursday the stage was 16.6 feet.
*Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
*Record flooding is occurring and record flooding is forecast.

*The river may rise a little more Today before it begins to recede.

*At 13.0 feet flooding of at least 2 businesses in Scanlon occurs.
*At 12.0 feet water approaches Canoe Rental Shops and restaurant near the river.

*This crest will now be the new flood of record exceeding the previous flood of record of 15.8 feet on May 9th, 1950.

*Flood Warning*

A flood warning is in effect for the Mississippi River near Aitkin.

*At 9:00 AM Thursday the stage was 16.5 feet.
*Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
*Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

*The river will continue to rise to near 20.5 feet by early Sunday Morning then begin falling.

*At 20.5 feet portions of Highway 169 north of Aitkin become impassable.
*At 19.0 feet the transformer station needs emergency protection.
*At 18.0 feet the Aitkin sewage plant becomes inoperative.
*At 17.0 feet pumping begins at the wastewater treatment plant.

*This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.5 feet on May 20th, 1950.

*Flood Warning*

A flood warning is in effect for the Mississippi River at Brainerd.

*At 9:30 AM Thursday the stage was 14.7 feet.
*Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
*Minor flooding is occurring
*Significant rises can be expected over the next few days.

*At 16.0 feet flooding of a home may occur.
*At 13.0 feet this will cause flooding of low lying areas.

*Flood Warning*

A flood warning is in effect for the Mississippi River at Fort Ripley.

*At 9:00 AM Thursday the stage was 10.5 feet.
*Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
*Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

*The river will continue to rise to near 14.0 feet by Sunday Evening.

*At 13.0 feet this may cause flooding of three homes near Fort Ripley.

*This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.3 feet on March 23rd, 1966.
