*FLOOD WARNING*
Location: Southern St. Louis County in Northeast Minnesota.
Timing: Until 11:30 AM CDT Friday.
Discussion: Local Law Enforcement and County Public Works Officials reported roads closed across Central and Southern St. Louis County due to the runoff from snowmelt across the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include:
Hibbing…Adolph…Biwabik…Brookston…Buhl…Canyon…Chisholm…Cherry…Cotton…Eveleth…
Floodwood…Fredenberg…Hermantown…Hoyt Lakes…Kelly Lake…and Kinney.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, county roads as well as farmland along the banks of creeks and streams.

Location: Iron County in Northwest Wisconsin.
Timing: Until 10:00 AM CDT Saturday.
Discussion: Local Law Enforcement and Iron County Officials reported widespread flooding across the warned area. Sandbagging is occurring along the Montreal River and the Poplar Street Bridge is closed over the river.
Some locations that will experience flooding include:
Gile…Hurley…Mercer…Montreal…Saxon…and Upson.

Stage as of 12:30 PM CDT Wednesday: 9.8 feet.
Flood stage: 10.5 feet.
Forecast: The river is forecast to reach a stage of 10.5 feet on Thursday and Friday. Minor flooding is expected.

Location: The Mississippi River at Aitkin affecting Aitkin County.
Stage as of 12:30 PM CDT Wednesday: 12.4 feet.
Flood stage: 12.0 feet.
Forecast: The river is forecast to reach a stage of 13.1 feet Thursday and Friday. Minor flooding is expected through next Wednesday, May 8th.

Location: The Mississippi River near Fort Ripley affecting Morrison and Crow Wing County.
Stage as of 12:00 PM CDT Wednesday: 10.0 feet.
Flood stage: 10.0 feet.
Forecast: The river is forecast to reach a stage of 10.2 feet on Thursday. Minor flooding is expected. The river may fall below flood stage by next Monday, May 6th.

-The Bad River Headwaters east of Mellen.
