Looks like we’ve seen around 7 inches to as much as 11 inches of snow so far in the Duluth area with more snow to come through Tuesday, although we likely will see snow change to rain or a mix at times especially closer to Lake Superior in lower elevation areas.
Snow that has fallen and that will continue to fall will have a very high-water content due to the mild temperatures today and tonight. In other words, this is a very wet snowfall.

Here’s a zoomed in view on the Twin Ports of snowfall totals thus far from this winter storm.

Warmer air continues to lift north/west out of southern Minnesota and central Wisconsin this morning and expect this trend to continue into this evening but how far north/west will the warm air reach into our area, only time will tell.
But I can say that pretty much all of northwest Wisconsin will see temperatures warm up enough both at the surface and aloft for snow to changeover to rain or a wintry mix this afternoon into tonight.
Farther west including far eastern Minnesota, Twin Ports and North Shore expect more snow, but even these areas may see snow changeover to a wintry mix from south to north later this afternoon into tonight.
Locations close to Lake Superior are more likely to see snow change to a mix or even just plain rain later today and tonight as slightly warmer air continues to move in due to some lake influence (warmer air coming off Lake Superior)

HRRR model simulated radar forecast through 2 AM Tonight.

Rain (green)
Wintry Mix (pink and purple)

Here’s a look at how much additional snow we may see through late tonight per HRRR model forecast.
