Our long duration winter storm lingers for another 24 hours with more snow and wind, but additional snow we see tonight, and Wednesday should be quite a bit lighter compared to what we’ve seen the last few days, but there is a possibility of some snow squall development Wednesday which could lead to brief bursts of heavy snow over parts of the Northland.
Gusty north to northwest winds will also continue tonight and Wednesday with wind gusts of 20 to 35 mph, and these gusty winds will continue to produce areas of blowing snow.
Temperatures remain on the cold side with lows tonight, Wednesday night and Thursday night in the single digits and teens with highs Wednesday in the 20s, but 30s return Thursday but this is still below normal in late March.

- Additional snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible through Wednesday afternoon across northern Minnesota and along the South Shore of Lake Superior in northwest Wisconsin.
- Up to 1 inch of additional snow accumulation is possible elsewhere in the Northland including in the Duluth area.

As a mid/upper-level low slides east-southeast out of northwest Minnesota Wednesday this could help develop some heavier snow squalls over parts of the Northland.
