Minnesota

  • Severe drought conditions affect 44% of the state, a decrease from 46% the previous week.
  • Moderate drought conditions are currently affecting 78% of the state, a decrease from 83% last week.
  • Ninety-nine percent of the state remains abnormally dry, with no change from the previous week.

Wisconsin

  • Severe drought conditions now affect 17% of the state, an increase from 14% the previous week.
  • Fifty-two percent of the state is experiencing moderate drought, a decrease from fifty-six percent the previous week.
  • The entire state remains abnormally dry, with no change from the previous week.

Over the past 2 weeks the Northland has seen drought improve by 1 class in green with no change in gray.

November 2024 Precipitation Anomalies in the Northland

Duluth, MN: -0.18″ below normal
International Falls, MN: -0.13″ below normal
Hibbing, MN: -0.12″ below normal
Brainerd, MN: -0.09″ below normal
Ashland, WI: +0.20″ above normal

Note: Since September 1st, Duluth has a precipitation deficit of -5.21 inches below normal, while International Falls is running -0.21 inches below normal in precipitation since September 1st.
