Northland Weather Update: Arctic Air Arrives This Week

In Duluth, temperatures are forecasted to stay near or above the freezing point through Monday afternoon, with expected ranges from about 32 to 36 degrees Fahrenheit, the coldest being at higher elevations.

Colder air is expected to move southeast, reaching the Duluth area by Monday night. Temperatures are forecasted to fall to approximately 15 to 21 degrees by early Tuesday morning.

Arctic air is set to arrive on Wednesday and will persist through Friday, with temperatures expected to fall below zero across the entire Northland by Wednesday evening.

Low temperatures on Thursday morning are forecasted to range from around -5 to -20 degrees.

European model temperature forecast valid 6 AM Wednesday to 6 PM Friday.

Expect the lowest wind chill temperatures from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning, with values between -15 and -35 degrees in the Northland.
