Far Northern Minnesota Snow Report: March 17, 2025

Far northern Minnesota picked up several inches of snow on Monday, with accumulations ranging from about 3 to as much as 8 inches. Snow amounts tapered off considerably a little farther to the south.

  • International Falls, MN: 7.0″
  • 5 SSW International Falls, MN: 6.7″
  • 3 E Orr, MN: 3.2″
  • 6 NNW Ely, MN: 1.6″
  • 3 ENE Seagull Lake, MN: 1.6″
  • Cook, MN: 0.6″
  • 4 S Tower, MN: 0.4″
  • 8 ESE Northome, MN: 0.3″

Just a quick note on Wednesday’s storm, which won’t impact the Northland much. New model data that arrived last night and this morning supports this, showing the system shifting further south. Even northwest Wisconsin is unlikely to see much snow on Wednesday. I’ll provide more details in my post later today.
