Overall, I think Thursday’s storm played out just as expected, with my forecast turning out quite well.

In Duluth, snowfall totals came in between 4 and 7 inches, matching my forecast perfectly.

The heaviest snowfall hit Duluth late Thursday afternoon into the evening, just as had been accurately forecasted on Wednesday.

Note: On Thursday, International Falls, Minnesota broke its 24-hour snowfall record with 4.3 inches of snow. The previous record for the snowiest April 2nd was 4.2 inches, set in 2025.

Duluth, Minnesota had its 3rd snowiest April 2nd on record with 4.7 inches of snow on Thursday. The record for the snowiest April 2nd is 6.2 inches from 1950.
