All previously issued winter weather headlines issued by the National Weather Service remain in effect, refer to my previous blog update for that information, this update is for the recently issued winter weather advisories that have been posted for far Northern Minnesota.
*WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY*
Timing:
6 PM CST This Evening until 6 PM CST Tuesday.
Counties included in the advisory:
Koochiching MN…Northern St. Louis MN…and Northern Itasca MN.
Some cities included in the advisory:
International Falls MN…Northome MN…Bigfork MN…Togo MN…Ely MN…and Crane Lake MN.
Discussion:
Snow will spread into far Northern Minnesota early This Evening with snow through the night and occasional snow lingering into Tuesday. Total snowfall accumulations of 2-4″ are expected by Tuesday Afternoon in the advisory area.

Forest Center MN…and Isabella MN…
Discussion:
Snow will develop This Evening in far Northeast Minnesota with snow then continuing at times through early Wednesday. East winds coming off Lake Superior could also lead to some lake effect or lake enhanced snowfall from Tonight through Tuesday Night. Total snowfall accumulations of 2-5″ are possible in the advisory area by Wednesday Morning.
