A 9 year old boy passed away from injuries he suffered after being struck by lightning during Saturday Afternoon’s thunderstorm in Duluth, Minnesota (Park Point area) 7 others were taken to Duluth hospitals with severe, but not life-threatening injuries.

Mostly clear skies will be the rule Tonight with lows in the 40s and 50s with some spots dropping into the 30s once again. Highs on Monday will be mainly in the 70s, skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Lows Monday Night will be in the 40s and 50s with clear to partly cloudy skies. Winds during this period will be out of the north or west at 5 to 15 mph.
Extended Forecast, Tuesday through Thursday (August 21-23)
Dry weather should continue into Tuesday with highs in the 70s and 80s, lows will be mainly in the 50s. A few showers or thunderstorms could return to the Northland on Wednesday and Thursday as low pressure heads into the Northern Plains while a frontal boundary slips south toward Northern Minnesota. High temperatures for Wednesday will be in the 70s and 80s with lows in the 50s and 60s. Highs on Thursday are forecast to be in the 70s to around 80 degrees.
