Location: Northeast Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin
Low pressure of 994mb was centered just north of Lake Superior early This Evening with a cold front dropping southeast through central Minnesota. High pressure of 1024mb was over southeast Alberta. Mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies covered the area Today with some haze and fog. There was also some sleet, snow, and freezing rain at times across northern Minnesota. Temperatures did warm up Today with highs in the 20s and 30s. Winds were out of the south, west, or southeast at 10 to 15 mph.
Note: There was a huge temperature contrast between the northern Rockies and western High Plains Today with record warmth in many areas.

Tonight (November 29)
The first of two arctic blasts arrives Tonight. Partly to mostly cloudy skies will be found over the area with flurries and a little light snow possible at times. Low temperatures will range from the single digits below to teens above zero with northwest winds at 10 to 25 mph. Wind chill temperatures will range from around zero to 20 below later Tonight.
Sunday and Sunday Night (November 30)
A frigid end to the month as arctic high pressure builds into the northern Plains. Highs on Sunday will be in the single digits and teens with west or northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.
The second surge of arctic air — the biggest one of them all will arrive Sunday Night as 850mb temperatures tumble into the -20s to around -30 degrees C. Gusty northwest winds will accompany this arctic blast which will make things even worse.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected on Sunday with flurries or snow showers possible during the Morning. Clear to partly cloudy skies are forecast Sunday Night with lows in the single digits, teens, and 20s below zero. Winds Tomorrow Night will be out of the west or northwest at 10 to 25 mph with wind chill temperatures in the 15 below to 40 below range.

Bitterly cold temperatures linger on Monday with highs in the single digits below to single digits above zero. Lows Monday Night will be in the single digits below zero.
Warms up a bit on Tuesday as low pressure passes through the area with some snow possible although right now this looks like it would just be another minor snow event. Dry weather returns on Wednesday.
Highs on Tuesday will be in the teens to around 20 with nearly steady temperatures Tuesday Night. Highs on Wednesday will be in the teens.
