Warm and a little muggier Wednesday, isolated storms west/north areas; tropical dew points ~70 F for the 4th with a risk for scattered showers/t-storms

Marginal risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday (blue shaded area on map) in western portions of the Northland from Bigfork and Grand Rapids to Walker, Brainerd and Aitkin.  Hail and gusty winds are the main threats along with heavy downpours and lightning.

Radar forecast valid from 7 AM Wednesday to 1 AM Thursday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday into Wednesday night mainly from north-central Minnesota into the Arrowhead.  Isolated strong storms are possible Wednesday afternoon/evening in those aforementioned areas with a threat for hail and gusty winds.

A mild night ahead with lows ranging from the middle 50s to middle 60s.

A few isolated showers this evening in extreme northern Minnesota, otherwise a mainly dry night in the Northland.

Another warm one on the way for Wednesday although we could see a bit more cloud cover compared to what we saw on Tuesday.  Highs Wednesday in the upper 70s to middle 80s, perhaps a few upper 80s in eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.  Dew points on Wednesday ranging from the upper 50s to upper 60s.

.Wednesday…  Warm and a bit humid.  Partly to mostly cloudy.  High 81 to 86 but turning cooler near Lake Superior.  Wind southwest 5 to 15 mph becoming south to southeast.  Dew point 60 to 65.

.Fourth of July…  Muggy.  Mostly cloudy.  Scattered showers or thunderstorms possible.  High 72 to 77.  Wind southeast 10 to 15 mph.  Dew point 65 to 70.
