Ridging out west and to the east with a trough in the middle for early next week, this may lead to a dump of arctic air pushing south/east into the upper Midwest and Great Lakes sometime around December 9-11. Subzero temps and dangerously cold wind chills are possible early to mid next week. Stay tuned.

…Weather Summary…

Got a weak disturbance which will pass through the area tonight which may cause a skiff of snow in eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin but that will be about it, otherwise we’re looking at partly to mostly cloudy skies tonight and certainly won’t be as frigid as it was Monday morning. Lows tonight will be in the single digits and teens with winds out of the south or west at 5 to 15 mph.

Tuesday is looking mainly dry under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Highs will range from the upper 20s to lower 30s with winds out of the west at 10 to 20 mph.

There may be a little light snow or flurry activity at times for Wednesday and Thursday as a few weak systems affect the area but not expecting much accumulation, perhaps an inch at most.

Note: Some accumulating snow (couple inches?) is possible late this weekend ~December 8-9. I’ll be watching the model trends on that one.
