-Another cool day on the way for Sunday under mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies. A few light snow or rain showers are possible. Highs will be in the 40s to around 50 degrees with a north wind at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts possible.

What a nice looking storm!
A strong area of low pressure continues to move SE across the eastern Dakotas this afternoon with rain and some wet snow occurring ahead of this system across parts of central and eastern Minnesota.

A tongue of warmer air covered southeastern Minnesota this afternoon with temps in the 60s, but its much colder in central Minnesota where strong dynamic cooling has occurred today causing rain to change over to wet heavy snow at times.

Strong upper level low has moved into the northeast US today, while another strong system dives SE out of the Northern Plains.

On Friday, Brainerd, Duluth and Hibbing all had low temperatures that ranked in the top 5 coldest on record for May 8th.
A cool weather pattern persists across the Northland for the next several days.
