Drought Update 9/9/2021

There’s been a little improvement in drought conditions in Minnesota and North Dakota this week, while we’ve seen the drought worsen just a tad in Wisconsin.

Anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of additional precipitation is needed to end our current drought in northern, northeast and east-central Minnesota, while most of northwest Wisconsin would need an additional 3 to 6 inches of precipitation to end the ongoing drought.
