A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for much of the Northland until 6 PM this evening, with a Blizzard Warning continuing for the North Shore until 6 PM this evening, and a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 PM this evening for the Ashland and Hurley areas in northwest Wisconsin.

Snow continues to rotate through the Northland as of mid-afternoon with areas of heavier snow in the green colors.

-An area of low pressure was centered over northern Minnesota as of mid-afternoon. This low will track ENE into Ontario by this evening.

-Much colder temperatures will spread NE into the Northland through this evening.

-Expect gusty winds from the west or southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 45 mph through this evening.

-Areas of blowing snow will linger into this evening with reduced visibilities.
