Looking ahead to next week features a bit of pattern change as we see strong ridging develop over northeast Canada near Hudson Bay, while a trough covers the Rockies.

As for snow chances — Early next week looks like the best shot for at least a little snow in parts of the Northland, but the overall pattern continues to look active next week, so it’ll come down to how the pattern sets up and how the storm track sets up as to whether or not these systems affect the Northland, or do they track far enough south and away from our area? The temperature pattern for next week features much warmer than average temperatures across northeast Canada while much colder than average temperatures cover the Rockies.

Here in the Northland, we’re looking at near to below average temperatures next week. No real arctic cold blasts, but no real big thaws either.
