Much colder temperatures through Wednesday night.
Lows tonight will range from around 10 below to 10 above zero with highs Wednesday in the single digits and teens above zero. This cold air won’t stick around very long as milder temperatures return once again beginning Thursday with highs in the 30s and 40s, and looking farther ahead shows highs in the 50s in parts of the Northland Friday and come Sunday we could see some 60s in eastern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
The good news is that even though temperatures will be cold on Wednesday, we should see a lot of sunshine, and that sun in late February does feel a little warmer compared to back in January.
Note: Wind Chill Advisory (light blue area on map) is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 10 AM Wednesday for northern Minnesota. Wind chills as low as 25 to 30 below zero in the advisory area.
We’ve seen quite a contrast in temperatures across the region today.
