It took until March to finally get a month with above average snowfall in Duluth and in much of the Northland.
Snowfall totals for March 2024 ranged from 19.9 inches at Duluth to 19.4 inches at International Falls.

Ashland, WI: 32.0 degrees. +4.3 degrees above average
Brainerd, MN: 31.5 degrees. +3.1 degrees above average
Duluth, MN: 30.2 degrees. +3.4 degrees above average
Hibbing, MN: 26.2 degrees. +2.6 degrees above average
International Falls, MN: 24.9 degrees. +1.5 degrees above average
A warm first half of March was followed by a cooler second half of March in Duluth, but in the end 58% of days were warmer than average vs. 36% of days which were colder than average in Duluth.
