Signs of a weakening cap are being observed over parts of northwest Minnesota and eastern North Dakota late this afternoon, as MLCIN values have dropped to below 100 J/kg. However, temperatures aloft are still on the warmer side, with 700mb temperatures hovering around +13C across much of the upper Midwest.
