Northland Weather Update: Temperature Swings and Record Lows | September 7, 2024

On Sunday afternoon, temperatures are expected to rise by about 40 to 50 degrees from the chilly conditions observed in the Northland on Saturday morning. It will also be quite windy, with southwesterly gusts reaching approximately 20 to 30 mph.

The forecast for Sunday predicts high temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the low 80s in our region.

Temperatures dropped to the mid-20s and 30s across much of the Northland on Saturday morning, with slightly higher temperatures near Lake Superior.

Hibbing, Minnesota matched its record low temperature of 30 degrees this morning, a record that was previously established on September 7th, 1986.
