Widespread frost and freezing conditions are anticipated across much of the Northland late tonight into early Friday morning, with freeze warnings and frost advisories currently in place. Temperatures are expected to drop into the middle 20s to middle 30s in most of the Northland early Friday morning.

For the Freeze Warning: Expect sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 degrees. Frost and freezing conditions may cause damage to crops and sensitive vegetation.

For the Frost Advisory: Temperatures ranging from 32 to 34 degrees can lead to the formation of frost, which may damage sensitive outdoor plants. If left unprotected, these plants could be at risk of being killed by the frost.

Note: Areas within approximately 10 miles of Lake Superior may experience slightly warmer temperatures and just patchy frost early on Friday morning.
