Last night and early this morning, parts of the Northland experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms, which brought heavy downpours to certain areas.
Cass Lake, Minnesota, reported around a half inch of rain, while Hermantown reported nearly the same amount. Rainfall totals in the Duluth metro area varied, ranging from 0.24 inches to 0.38 inches.
