Breezy and Colder; Few Flakes

As we conclude another year, I would like to review the statistics of my blog over the past year.

• 9,990 visits
• 461 total posts
• 208,000 words
• 452 words per post
• 20 paid subscribers

The most significant change I implemented on my blog was placing certain content behind a paywall. I made this decision in late August of this year, and thus far, it appears to have been a good one. However, I am hopeful that my blog will continue to grow with more paid subscribers in the coming year.

I extend my gratitude to all who visit my blog. Special thanks to my paid subscribers and long-time followers. I began this blog in 2009 on e-blogger, later transitioning to WordPress in 2019. Even before 2009, I was sharing my weather forecasts on the Myspace platform.

Onto 2025

Colder times ahead, yes, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to cold weather around here at this time of year. In fact, temperatures have been trending a little warmer in model guidance over the past 24 hours.

In Duluth, we’re looking at highs in the single digits and teens above zero, while subzero low temperatures return this weekend into next week, but right now it doesn’t even look like we’ll see overnight temperatures reach at least 10 below zero in Duluth through late next week.

Severe cold persists in parts of Russia, Alaska, and far northwest Canada, with temperatures dropping as low as 30, 40, and even over 50 degrees below zero.
