Snow totals in the Duluth area ranged from around 1.0 to 1.5 inches from Friday night to Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service in Duluth reported 1.0 inch of snow with 0.12 inches of precipitation, leading to a low snowfall ratio of 8.3:1. Usually around here we have snowfall ratios closer to 12:1 to 14:1 or even a little higher sometimes.
Snowflakes were small during this event in Duluth due to an unfavorable dendritic growth zone (DGZ), keeping snow ratios low and accumulations light. Note: A better DGZ (larger snowflakes) could have resulted in around 2.0 to 2.5 inches of snowfall in Duluth with the same 0.12 inches of precipitation.

My forecast for northwest Wisconsin and east central Minnesota was mostly accurate. The highest snow totals were expected in southern areas, and that is where they happened.
The cutoff on the north side of this system ended up a little further south than forecasted, which kept snow totals in Duluth on the low side, generally around an inch.
