High pressure will cover the area tonight and Tuesday, keeping the weather calm.
It will be cold on Tuesday morning with temperatures in the single digits and teens, but in the afternoon, they will rise to the mid 30s to mid 40s.
Note: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, has surpassed 200 inches of snow for the 2024-2025 snow season, with 4.3 inches of snow reported today, which brings the seasonal total to 203.3 inches, and this is +88.6 inches above normal to date. Incredible!
A weak weather system will be moving southeast through the upper Midwest on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing light rain and some wet snow to parts of the Northland, with any snow accumulation expected to be around an inch or less.

Later this weekend, a stronger upper trough may move east-northeast from the northern Plains. This trough, along with a surface low and its warm and cold fronts, could bring scattered rain to the Northland from Saturday night to Monday.
Note: There may be some snow in parts of the Northland by next Monday if cold air and moisture stick around on the backside of this system.
If there is enough moisture moving north on Sunday, we might get a few thunderstorms in parts of the Northland that day and evening.
Currently, computer models predict dew points in the 40s to low 50s, which is low for convection, but may still create some instability for thunderstorms on Sunday.
