The next few days will bring cooler weather, but nothing extreme. Highs on Halloween and Saturday in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin will generally stay in the 40s, with lows dropping into the 20s and 30s. Typically, highs around this time of year in our area range from the low to mid-40s, while lows are usually in the mid to upper 20s.
A broad trough will linger over the region through Saturday before moving out. This system will bring a few showers to northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin from tonight through Saturday, with occasional snowflakes mixed in, but no snow accumulation is expected.

Check out the system south of Alaska today, along with the one affecting the northeast U.S., and that trough digging southeast into the northern Plains is pretty impressive too.
