Published by

on

On November 29th, 2025, Duluth, Minnesota broke its daily snowfall record with 5.3 inches of snow, surpassing the previous record of 3.6 inches set in 1991.

On Saturday, much of east-central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin saw about 1 to 3 inches of snow, with some areas in northwest Wisconsin getting isolated higher totals of around 4 to 6 inches.

Heavy lake-effect snow rolled through areas near Lake Superior on Saturday, lasting into the night and dumping over 9 inches around Cornucopia, about 8 inches near Bayfield, and between 3 to 7 inches in Duluth and Superior.

With 16.7 inches of snow already falling this month in Duluth, it’s certain that November 2025 will end up above the normal total of 14.1 inches. Last November, Duluth saw only 5.5 inches of snow.

Between November 25 and 29, 2025, Duluth saw five consecutive days with at least 0.1 inch of snow, and on three of those days, snowfall topped 3 inches.
