Northwest winds will increase with gusts of 25 to 50 mph across the Northland, with the strongest winds across northeast Minnesota. The Arrowhead, along the higher terrain of the North Shore, could see wind gusts up to 60 mph. These strong winds will continue into Friday evening before diminishing late Friday night.

The strong winds could lead to a few power outages in northeast Minnesota on Friday afternoon and evening.

Euro model wind gust forecast valid 12 PM Friday to 6 AM Saturday.

Temperatures will warm into the mid 30s and low to mid 40s in northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin on Friday, with 50s a little farther south.

Arctic air is set to return Friday night into this weekend, with highs Saturday only in the single digits and teens above zero across the Northland, and in the teens and lower 20s on Sunday.
