Hints of Fall: Monday Begins in the Mid–Upper 30s

More locations across northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin experienced temperatures in the mid to upper 30s Monday morning, with a few areas possibly seeing patchy frost. Hog Creek and Seagull Lake, MN recorded the coldest readings at a crisp 34 degrees.

Note: Normal lows in our area on August 24 typically range from the upper 40s to the low-to-mid 50s.

Monday morning saw a notable temperature range in the Twin Ports area, from a crisp 37 degrees at Superior Airport to a milder 52 degrees at Duluth Sky Harbor Airport, with Duluth’s official low recorded at 46 degrees.

The low of 46 degrees in Duluth on Monday morning, August 24, 2026, marked the coolest temperature in the city since June 22, when it dropped to 44 degrees.
