*Heat Advisory*
A heat advisory remains in effect until 10 PM CDT Tonight for the following Counties:
Northern Cass, MN
Northern Aitkin, MN
Some Cities included in the advisory are: Walker, MN…and Hill City, MN.
*Heat Indices through early This Evening will remain in the 90s in parts of the advisory area.
*These hot and humid conditions will lead to an increased risk of heat related stress and illness.

Southern Aitkin, MN
Pine, MN
Burnett, WI
Washburn, WI
Sawyer, WI
Price, WI
Some Cities included in the advisory are: Leader, MN…Brainerd, MN…Aitkin, MN…Hinckley, MN…Pine City, MN…Grantsburg, WI…Spooner, WI…Hayward, WI…and Park Falls, WI.
*Heat indices will remain in the 95-105 degree range through This Evening and again on Thursday.
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids. Stay in air conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Don’t forget about pets, as this heat will affect them as well. Make sure they have plenty of water to drink and can get shelter during the hottest portion of the day.
*Flood Warning*
A flood warning remains in effect for the Mississippi River near Aitkin affecting Aitkin County.
*At 6:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.4 feet.
*Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
*Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
*The river will hold steady near 17.5 feet during the next few days.
*At 18.0 feet the Aitkin Sewage Plant becomes inoperative.
*Flood Warning*
A flood warning remains in effect for the Mississippi River at Fort Ripley affecting Morrison and Crow Wing Counties.
*At 5:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.8 feet.
*Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
*Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
*The river will continue to fall to a stage of 11.4 feet by Tomorrow Morning.
*At 12.0 feet the Boat Landing and parking lot at the Public Access are under water.
