*Enhanced satellite loop from Wednesday Night (10pm) ending around 10am Thursday Morning. Basically looks like a ball rolling east out of Eastern Montana and North Dakota, this was the system responsible in producing the scary looking clouds (SLC’s) over the Twin Ports early Thursday Afternoon. This thunderstorm complex produced gusty winds over much of Northern Minnesota and Northwest Wisconsin with severe wind gusts over Western Lake Superior. (Source, Unisys weather)

-1:20 PM CDT: MARINE THUNDERSTORM WIND GUST. 68 mph. 6 S of Castle Danger, MN. Ship Algoma progress reported wind gusts to 60 knots for approximately 3 minutes. Measured at 90 feet above water level.
-1:35 PM CDT: MARINE THUNDERSTORM WIND GUST. 51 mph. 5 SE of French River, MN. Research vessel Kaiyi reported 45 knot wind gust.
