Another 1-3″ of snow through Tonight. Northwest winds at 15 to 30 mph with gusts an excess of 40 mph resulting in blowing and drifting snow. Visibility as low as one half mile at times mainly in open areas.

Weather update as of 10 AM CST:
Strong area of low pressure averaging 994mb was over Western Lake Superior late This Morning with bands of snow still affecting most of the Northland as of late Morning. Seeing quite a range in temperatures with single digits and teens in Northeast Minnesota with mainly 20s still in Northwest Wisconsin. Winds continued to increase out of the northwest at 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph in Northeast Minnesota while wind speeds remained lighter in Northwest Wisconsin.
For the rest of Today and This Evening:
Low pressure will continue to move southeast and should be over Northern Lake Michigan by Tonight. Light snow and snow showers will persist in our area on the backside of this system. Some heavier bursts of snow may also occur from time to time. Gusty winds will also cause areas of blowing and drifting snow with near whiteout conditions possible mainly in open areas. Additional snowfall accumulations of 1-3″ are expected through Tonight.
