It would appear that this powerful winter storm took track number 4 shown on this map. This was a map I created 2 days ago showing the possible storm tracks for this system, and the farthest left track ended up being right.
…High impact winter storm winding down…
Gusty west or northwest winds will be the big weather story in the Northland for the rest of Today with areas of blowing and drifting snow continuing as well. These gusty winds are occurring behind a strong area of low pressure which is moving toward Northern Lake Superior (974mb) Some light snow and flurries will persist into the Afternoon hours but additional snowfall amounts should remain under 1″.
