Today’s Weather Summary for NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin
Finally starting to see a little bit of change Today as low pressure at the surface and aloft move over the Central Great Lakes and Eastern Ontario while the upper trough continues to churn slowly toward the east. Lots of clouds in the area Today and temperatures were well below average as we kick off the month of May. Highs were in the upper 30s and 40s with north or northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph. Scattered showers and some drizzle also continued Today but mainly over Northwest Wisconsin and in far Eastern-Northeast Minnesota.

Tonight (May 1)
Mostly cloudy skies are expected Tonight. Some drizzle and showers over Northwest Wisconsin should end by late Tonight. A few showers could move into Western-Northwest parts of the area by daybreak as a new system approaches from the northwest. Lows will be in the 30s to around 40 with northwest, west, or southwest winds at 5 to 15 mph.
Friday and Friday Night (May 2)
A couple of disturbances will be moving through the Upper Midwest this period. Scattered showers are possible Tomorrow and Tomorrow Night with highs in the 40s and 50s with lows in the 30s to around 40. Winds will be out of the southwest, west, or northwest at 10 to around 20 mph.

Saturday through Monday (May 3-5)
Spotty rain showers are possible on Saturday and some of those rain showers could be mixed with snow before Noon mainly in Northern Minnesota. Sunday looks dry at this time, and then we could see a few showers return to parts of the Northland from late Sunday Night into Monday.
High temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s from Saturday through Monday with lows Saturday Night in the 20s and 30s. Lows Sunday Night will be in the 30s.
