Northwest flow aloft was in place Today with a weak area of low pressure and an upper level disturbance passing through the region which led to some showers Today under mostly cloudy-partly sunny skies. Highs were in the 40s and 50s so still below normal for early May. Wind directions were a mess ranging from south/west to northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

A considerable amount of cloudiness will remain over the Northland skies Tonight with scattered rain showers. After Midnight there could be a few flakes of snow that mix in with any rain shower mainly over far Northern Minnesota. Lows will mainly be in the 30s with southwest or northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.
Saturday and Saturday Night (May 3)
Spotty rain showers will continue Tomorrow with some snow flakes also possible during the Morning over far Northern Minnesota. Partly sunny-mostly cloudy skies are on tap on Saturday with highs in the 40s and 50s with northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts. Partly-mostly cloudy skies for Saturday Night with lows in the 20s and 30s along with northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph.
