*4:23 PM CDT: NON-THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE. Aurora, MN (St. Louis County) County Sheriff has reported that a women riding an ATV vehicle was struck by a falling tree blown down by high winds. Extent of injuries unknown at this time.
*5:21 PM CDT: NON-THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE. Hunters Park, MN (St. Louis County) Several healthy pine trees snapped off near Boss across Woodland neighborhood in Duluth.

A much calmer and cooler day in the Northland under sunny to partly cloudy skies while the Morning hours featured more clouds than sun along with a few flurries for some. High temperatures were in the 30s to lower 40s with winds out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

Short Term Forecast – Confidence: High.
Tonight (April 3)
A weak disturbance along with a cold front will move southeast out of North Dakota Tonight. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are forecast in our area with some snow showers and flurries developing later in the night — Accumulations of a coating to 1″ are possible in some areas by daybreak. Low temperatures will mainly be in the 20s with a variable wind direction at around 10 mph.
Saturday and Saturday Night (April 4)
A cold front will settle south into Southern Minnesota while weak low pressure exits to the southeast while high pressure builds into Manitoba. Partly-mostly cloudy skies are expected this period with a few snow showers possible at times mainly Saturday Night. Highs Tomorrow will be in the 30s and 40s with lows Tomorrow Night in the teens and 20s. Winds will be out of the west or north on Saturday at 10 to 20 mph with winds turning to the east or northeast Saturday Night.

Sunday through Tuesday (April 5-7)
The basic weather setup during this period will be for an area of high pressure to cover Central Canada while a frontal boundary stays put well to our south. Some portions of the Northland could see some wet snow or rain from time to time between Sunday and Tuesday but none of this looks very heavy at this time.
High temperatures will generally be in the 30s and 40s with lows Sunday Night in the teens and 20s. Lows Monday Night will be in the 20s.
Long Range Forecast – Confidence: Low to Medium.

Near to below average temperatures are expected from the 8th-13th. No major storms through this period, but some parts of the area could get a little bit of snow or rain on the 8th with a bit of rain possible sometime around the 10th or 11th.
