/Issued 5:33 PM CDT, Saturday, August 11, 2018/
Should be a fairly pleasant night temperature wise near Lake Superior due to an easterly breeze off the lake, but with the humid airmass in place, this could lead to areas of dense fog later in the night into Sunday morning.

Weather Synopsis
Weather pattern consists of a massive upper level ridge which extends from the western U.S. to the northern Plains and upper Midwest with upper lows near the Pacific northwest and over Texas. Underneath the upper ridge, late afternoon 850mb temperatures were as warm as +34C in Wyoming with 925mb temperatures of +30 to +38C from the northern Rockies to the northern Plains to +24C in the Northland. High temperatures today were in the 80s, but a few locations did hit 90 degrees! It was also rather humid today with dew points in the 60s. Note: A lake breeze did develop late this afternoon close to Lake Superior which helped to cool it off from around 90 degrees to the lower 70s!
Weather through Monday will be nearly the same as it has been for the last few days — Will have generally clear to partly cloudy skies with very warm temperatures persisting Sunday and Monday as an upper level ridge remains over the upper Midwest. Lows tonight will be in the 50s and 60s, highs Sunday in the 80s to lower 90s, highs Monday in the mid 80s to mid 90s.
Note: A lake breeze will continue most of the night near Lake Superior so it should be fairly pleasant by the lake, but it looks like will get rid of this lake breeze most of Sunday, but it could return later in the afternoon, if it does return, then expect temperatures to fall a bit late Sunday afternoon (Similar to what occurred late this Saturday afternoon)
Smoke should linger across northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin tonight and Sunday, and areas of fog could also develop late tonight, lingering into Sunday morning in parts of the area.
There is a chance for a few showers or thunderstorms Monday night and Tuesday as a cold front passes through the area, cooler temperatures behind this front for midweek, but there are signs per model data for another warm spell late next week/next weekend.
