High temperature forecast for Saturday, March 14th, 2020.

…Weather Summary…

It’ll be a quiet weekend in terms of our weather with generally partly to mostly cloudy skies expected from tonight through Sunday.

A cold air mass will be over the Northland this weekend with 850mb temperatures of -10 to -15C.

Lows tonight and Saturday night will range from the single digits below to lower teens above zero. Highs Saturday and Sunday in the mid 20s to lower 30s. Note: Normal highs in mid-March are right around 32 degrees while normal lows are in the lower to middle teens.

A strong area of high pressure ~1050mb will move across Ontario over the weekend which will keep our area dry. The only exception to this could be near Lake Superior where a few flurries may develop as winds become easterly Saturday afternoon through Sunday.

The next weather maker for the Northland moves in Sunday night and lingers into Monday – Looking like will get at least some snow with this system, greatest amounts of 1 to 3 inches across northern Minnesota (north of Duluth) the way it looks now.
