July 2021 Climate Summaries for the Northland

July 2021 was warmer than average in most of the Northland, while precipitation was below average.

Precipitation totals for July 2021 were only ~30 to 50% of normal in most of the Northland, but there were a few exceptions, including Duluth (70% of normal), and also near and south of the Hayward area where precip totals for the month finished some 100-150% of normal.

International Falls, Hibbing and Ashland led the way for the most days with thunder in July 2021, while Brainerd had the fewest days with thunder.

Nothing too out of the ordinary when it comes to our temperatures in Duluth in July 2021.

One stretch of very warm temps centered on the 4th of July weekend which was followed by a couple days of well below normal temps.

An extremely dry first half of July in Duluth, but that was followed by a wetter pattern for about the last week or so of the month.
